Now Showing:  Among the Vienna Artists’ works at the VAS Gallery is a special selection of  American Landscapes by Lassie Corbett.

Opening on Tuesday, February 5 this show will be on display through Saturday, March 30.  Artist, teacher and world traveler, Lassie Corbett, will share her vision of our beautiful country in the VAS Gallery’s newest show. A special emphasis will be placed on works inspired by our national parks.

A well-known artist and teacher, Corbett began her career as a Peace Corps volunteer in the Philippines. There she was introduced to oriental brush painting and since then has studied many internationally famous artist including Chen Chi and Diana Kan.  After earning her MFA from the American University in Washington, DC, Corbett found the art studio “A Place To Paint” and has taught painting workshops across the country and in Hawai-i”, Bermuda, Nepal,  Turkey,  and Greece.   FYI:  Corbett”s colorful paintings have been featured in many national and international juried groups and also solo exhibitions, including The International Women’s Year Exhibit, Manila, Philippines, Sumi-e Society of America, Salemugundi Club in New York, the  Metro Gallery at George Mason University, Arlington Virginia, and Virginia Watercolor Society, Staunton, Virginia. Corbett’s work is on display in numerous public and corporate collections she is currently represented by Circle Point Gallery, Manassas Virginia Corner Gallery, Front Royal, Virginia the Art Company, Davis, West Virginia, and Herndon Old Town Gallery, Herndon, Virginia. Corbett works out of her studio in Reston Virginia and it’s an active member of service state and national art organizations.
