I first tried my hand as a watercolor artist over 20 years ago under the tutelage of a well known and local landscape artist, Leonard Justinian. I eventually entered and won several awards at local, juried art shows and even sold some works. My introduction to the world of art came to an abrupt end after only a couple years as my career as a government consultant took priority. I retired at the end of 2019 and picked up my passion for painting after a 18+ year hiatus. I appreciate all artistic styles, but am obviously a slave to realism. I try to recreate subjects in their most natural form with a heavy focus on depth, shadows and contrast. My wide range of subjects reflects a desire to challenge myself and discover who I am as an artist and the extent of my abilities. I hope you like and/or appreciate my work.
