Hayden Luczka presented Ruth Ensley with the gavel as Ruth was elected to the presidency of VAS for the July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020 year of VAS membership.  Hayden held leadership for VAS through our very busy 2018-2019 with a return of our Treasury of Art, the Take a Seat, Vienna Project and large number of special exhibits and our post-moving activities.  She sees stepping away from the top position as an opportunity with insight to now to chair our Fundraising Committee.  She has a great background and some cool ideas.  We are fortunate as a non-profit to have such talent in our leadership.

Along with Ruth Ensley as our new president, we will have Jodi Condes continuing to serve as Vice President, as well as Susan Tilton, Secretary, and Dick Neff serving as our treasurer.  Other VAS members will be welcomed to serve as assistants to these elected positions in order to preserve continuity to our leadership.  There are supporting committees with chairs already agreeing to serve the next year.  There is still an opportunity for you to share your (other than art) talent to support to our volunteer membership art organization it builds friendships and you learn a lot of new things.  For example, Dore’ Skidmore will chair our Communications Committee and she is looking for a few able people do handle some of those chores.  Call and let Ruth or Lu know what you want to do for your part.
