The purpose of the Society is to bring together area artists to share interests, to enrich their own experience in art and to make contributions to the community. As a volunteer organization, it is highly regarded as a well run organization, respected for always striving for high standards in the art field. Members are encouraged to broaden their interests in all areas of art, through workshops, art excursions and monthly meetings, demonstrations, lectures and critiques.

Art Center News

Our Ticket To Art Show is up until Saturday May 18th. The High School Art Show is up from May 21 to June 2nd. The Reception will be held on Thursday, May 23rd, from 7pm - 9pm.

The next membership meeting is on Thursday, May 9 at 7:30pm. The presenter is Linda Jones. Her presentation will be "Through my window" a presentation of paintings and process in watercolor, acrylics and mixed media.

Ticket To Art Show at the Art Center

Ticket To Art is on Saturday, May 18th at 4:30pm.

TICKETS only $125

(What a deal! What a steal!)

The Vienna Arts Society is hosting a Ticket to Art Raffle and Silent Auction to benefit the Vienna Art Center and the Committee for Helping Others [CHO ].

In the Ticket to Art raffle, everyone is a winner. Artists contribute original works of art worth more than $125.

Each raffle ticket is sold for $125. (The price of these tickets has not been raised in over 5 years, so you are getting a real deal!)

The works of art and silent auction items will be on exhibit from April 30 until May 18 at the Vienna Art Center at 115 Pleasant St. NW, Vienna, VA.

At The Art Gallery

"Water, Water, Everywhere" will be the title of the Vienna Arts Society Gallery Show opening on Tuesday, June 4 and running through Saturday, July 13. Water in its many different forms has long served as an inspiration to artists throughout the world. Approximately 20 artists will display nearly 50 paintings inspired by water. Viewers can expect to see rivers, seascapes, lakes and waterfalls . . . and perhaps a few paintings with surprising interpretations of our watery theme.

Above are two works by Helen Dilley Barsalou, a national award winning watercolorist who lives and paints in Annandale, VA. Her works hang in corporate, public, and private collections throughout the country. Although the artist enjoys painting florals, figures, and semi-abstract works, she receives the most satisfaction from painting landscapes.

The Vienna Arts Society Gallery is located at 513 Maple Ave, Vienna, VA 22180. Hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a..m. to 4 p.m. Phone: 703 319 3971
