What a WONDERFUL time all had at the demonstration of Robert Liberace on Thursday, Jan 14th!

http://www.robertliberace.com/portraitsOil/gallery.htm

If you were there, you were one of a privileged many that attended the meeting and demonstration of Robert Liberace
as he painted a portrait of a man in just three hours.  His techniques were amazing.  His art even more spectacular
as it transformed before your eyes.  Below are a few pictures from that event.

CALL FOR DONATIONS OF ART

 The Vienna Arts Society

TICKET TO ART
is right around the corner!

See some of the donated pieces by clicking here ----->TICKET TO ART
KEEP CHECKING WITH OUR WEB SITE TO SEE WHAT ART HAS BEEN DONATED!!!

Anyone interested in participating in any capacity is welcomed and appreciated! Donors of artwork, sitters at the center, raffle ticket sellers, reception/hospitality, and runners during the raffle.

We need artwork- all kinds- sculpture, glass, paintings, etc to help make this a diverse and fun event. The more artwork we have the more tickets we can sell- the more money we can raise to help in our community outreach projects.

We need artwork delivered to Grace Rooney or Teresa Ahmad at the Vienna Art Center, 115 Pleasant St NW, by FEBRUARY 15, 2010! We want to have all artwork in prior to hanging the exhibit so that we know exactly how much we have AND we can create our flyers/checklist for the patrons with all artwork included. If you want to help but can not get the work to us by the 15th, please contact one of us in order to make sure we know it's coming. If you leave the work without us there- please included your name, title, medium and value with "Ticket to Art" on a note card attached to the piece.

Anyone wanting to donate more than one piece is more than welcome to do so. Each donation is considered a tax deduction and you will be provided a donation letter.

New members- the Ticket to Art is our annual fundraiser/raffle. We sell raffle tickets at $125 each guaranteeing that everyone that buys one will walk away with a piece of original artwork. As names are drawn from the hat, they have next choice of what is left- first name first pick, second name, second pick and so on...We ask for enough donations that cover not only the number of tickets sold but then some in order to let that last person drawn from the hat an opportunity to still have a choice. After the raffle is finished- the pieces left are for sale for the next hour for $125. Any piece left over will be given back to the artist.

Last year we raised over $4000- let's try to raise much more than that!!!

Anyone that brings their piece in now or sends an image of the work donating, will be considered for the postcard, flyers and future advertisements!!! Send to Teresa Ahmad teresa@tlcillustration.com The postcard deadline is January 25th, 2010.
