Artwork by members of the Vienna Arts Society was on display at Green Spring Gardens until April 2, 2023. The exhibition, which featured 92 pieces on themes from nature, opened on February 12 with the announcement of the winning artwork by judge Stacy Lund Levy.
Noreen Brunini’s “Bluebell Season”, with its exquisite use of watercolor, was the first place winner. Mary Beth Davis’s unique collage, “A Pair of Pairs”, took second place, and Wei Lang’s ink drawing, “Flowing Fragrance”, took third.
Winners of an honorable mention award (in alphabetical order) were: Jodi Condes for “Summer Bouquet”, Shona D’Crus for “Flushing Pansy”, Michelle Gates for “Harbor Seals”, Ronnie Often for “The Poet’s Garden”, Alejandra Pineiro for “Tulips and Pears” and Grace Rooney for “Lilacs and Fruit”
Stacy looked for artwork that combined a unique perspective and unusual composition. She is a signature member of the American, Baltimore, Pennsylvania and Philadelphia watercolor societies. Stacy has exhibited in national and international exhibits and has won numerous awards both locally and nationally.
