April 13th through June 25th, 2021, at the VAS Village Green Shopping Center Gallery at 513 Maple Avenue West, in Vienna.
The featured artist is the Vienna Arts Society’s 2020-2021 “Artist of the Year,” Ken Britz. The exhibit, titled “Favored Subjects”, showcases a collection of Ken’s masterful acrylic paintings as well as some ink drawings. The show also displays many pieces by other VAS artists.
Ken was voted VAS “Artist of the Year” in recognition of the high quality of his wonderful art as well as for the many volunteer hours he has spent making VAS a better place, including leading our move to a new art center, spearheading our 2019 “Take A Seat, Vienna” project, and now chairing our Advisory Committee.
Ken was born in Newark, New Jersey, graduated from the Cooper Union School of Art and Architecture, and from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design. He is a licensed architect, now retired and living with his spouse Patricia in Tysons. He has been a valued member of the Vienna Arts Society for several years.
