Free Artist Presentation: The Vienna Arts Society welcomes the public to virtual artist demonstrations the second Thursday of each month. On January 13, VAS presented a Zoom demonstration by Gavin Glakas. The work of this accomplished artist and teacher hangs in the permanent collections of the US Capitol, the Virginia State Capitol, universities, museums and numerous other collections both public and private. His paintings have been featured on NBC News and in The Washington Post, among other publications, and his work is exhibited at museums and galleries throughout the country. Glakas teaches painting and drawing at the Yellow Barn Studio. He currently has a show hanging in the Principle Gallery on King Street in Alexandria, VA. www.gavinglakas.com
