Artist Kris Loya will demonstrate a modern watercolor floral painting in her paintbrush meditation style. Departing from a traditional floral painting without referencing a floral setup or photograph, Kris will demonstrate how to construct an imaginative bouquet utilizing memory and mark making.
Kris Loya Bio
Kris Loya has lived and worked in Loudoun County Virginia for the past decade—first as Operations and Marketing Director for a boutique talent acquisition firm and then as Manager of Tryst Gallery in Leesburg.
Prior to moving to Loudoun, Kris lived and worked in Trinidad and Tobago as a Brand Architect specializing in Web and Graphic Design and later incorporating Social Media Management.
An artist herself, Kris understands the need for artists to take charge of their careers and focus on branding and marketing. Kris works with several artists to develop and establish their brand and social media presences.
As the Manager of Tryst Gallery in Leesburg, Kris focuses on building the gallery’s roster of artists and especially loves to help new artists navigate the beginning of their art careers.
