“Nature’s Sampler”, a show featuring watercolor paintings by Featured Artist, Jan Burns, opened Tuesday, February 4 and will be on the display at the Vienna Arts Society Art Gallery through Saturday, March 28. The artist’s work is inspired by nature where she finds an infinite variety of textures, form, and colors that serve as material for her paintings. The paintings in Nature’s Sampler depict a variety of natural subject matter that ranges from close up views of leaves and other vegetation to sweeping landscapes.
Jan Burns has an AB in art from the University of California at Berkeley. She works in watercolor, acrylic, and collage and has been an active artist in the Vienna area for over 40 years.
Meet the Artist: Artist Jan Burns will be at the gallery from 11:30 to 2:30on February 4 and 18, and March 3 and 17.
