Peter Ulrich (www.ulrichart.com) is a realist painter who describes his style as “loose and free”. As a child, he was mentored by his father, an accomplished amateur artist, and he won awards for his paintings.  After earning degrees in science and a career in research, engineering, and development, he returned to creating art. He works in watercolor, pen and ink, oil, and acrylic. He has received many awards including several “Best in Show”. Most recently, he received the “People’s Choice” award at the 2020 Art League Patron’s Show. He has been teaching watercolor, oil, and acrylic at the Art League school for 15 years and leading many workshops and demonstrations both in the Mid-Atlantic region and in Europe. He will be teaching online “virtual” workshops and classes for the Art League School starting in September 2020. He has been a member of the Art League Board of Directors, the Chairman of the Art League Bin Gallery and President of the Potomac Valley Watercolorists. He is a signature member of the National Watercolor Society, The Baltimore Watercolor Society and the Potomac Valley Watercolorists.
