October 10 @ 7 PM
Speaker: Caron Broadway Moody
Caron Broadway Moody, co-owner of Broadway Gallery, discusses “The Fine Art of Custom Framing” following the Vienna Arts Society’s October 10, 7 p.m., business meeting. Caron will explain the importance of preservation framing, conservation framing techniques and products, current framing trends, art restoration services, and professional framing discounts offered to fine artists and the trade.
Having been raised working in the family-owned-and-operated framing business, Caron and her co-owner brother, Barry Broadway, have run the company since their mother and founder, Sue Broadway retired in 1993. After receiving her BFA in painting and drawing from Pratt Institute in New York, Caron worked at United Press International as a graphic informational artist before returning to work in the family business and working part-time as an art teacher to neighboring children. She presently directs the gallery in Great Falls and oversees the marketing of the company. Caron also continues to work as a fine artist, often keeping busy with custom commissions for local designers.
Broadway Gallery, with locations in Alexandria and Great Falls, is celebrating its 41st anniversary as one of the metro area’s leading custom picture framing companies and fine art galleries.
